Comanche is situated 86 klms North West of Rockhampton along the mighty Fitzroy River, in the Glenroy district. Run by Steven and Claire, Comanche consists of 19000 acres of softwood and brigalow scrub soils with some forest country included. With a 9 klm frontage to the Fitzroy River we have established 450 acres of irrigated leucaena, which is used for growing and finishing the organic and EU commercial herd. A 999 SCU feedlot was also built during 2004 and used for a number of years to finish commercial cattle predominately for the 120 day Jap Ox market. Today the feedlot is used for opportunity trading and custom feeding.
The entire stud herd as well as all the commercial growing and finishing cattle are run on Comanche.
